Isaiah Berlin's Temple of Saratro. Either that or Halle's (halo around the moon) head. you know, 'if my thought dreams could be seen, they'd probably put my head in a guillotine...' |

| Bright Eyes – Coyote Song Lyrics

did anyone hear about the coyote they rescued from either lake michigan or somewhere around chicago? they named it holly, because it was a couple of days before christmas. Thanks for sending the article 'Happy Lion' (in arabic). also coyotes are what they call the guides that illegally smuggle mexi/south americans over the boarder. Also, and this is just a theory that i cannot prove, but according to Jungian psychology, or Jung's 4 archetypes, that would make the coyote 'devendra banhart,' as in the 'trickster. |

by the way, Conor, Arienette, well you should know that william blake gave her a homework assignment over the summer: 27 political cartoons with matching poems all to be written out in hand, similar to the 'illuminated manuscripts' of medieval times. Also, are you still trying to find Bob Dylan's wife? |

stupid fucks. it is an allusion to lawrence ferlinghetti's 'how to paint sunlight.' and is about a girl named hollan who lived in san francisco for three months in 2010, just like bob dylan told her to do in 'maybe someday.' you know 'city lights bookstore,' as in the beat generation, anyone else, a fan? | Devendra Banhart – Chin Chin & Muck Muck Lyrics

I can't believe no one has commented on this song! One of the best on the album, and some of his best songwriting in general. There is so much going on here, also it is hilariously absurd and just fun in general.
p.s. "massengillic mess" - a massengill is an old word for douche.

Before i knew the translation, I'd always imagined that inaniel was either a childhood imaginary friend, or the spirit of a boy who died really young. Given the translation, unlikely, but it still sounds like that in my head when i listen to the song. |

I can't believe no one has commented on any of Vandaveer's songs - and that only six of them are posted. His songs are amazing. I think this song has something to do with anima. Also there is the bob dylan connection. |
