i think everyone is going to find what they want to hear in this song. its so open to interpretation. when i first heard it, i got the song to be about infedelity. its from the guy who is being cheated on's perspective. they both know that he knows she has been cheating but he never admits it, hes always drawn back in by her "persuasive" ways (soft hands, layed on top...). he's finally growing a pair of balls and standing up for himself, saying he wont stand for it anymore and its "too bad its not HIM in the feelings she cant ignore"...i took the part feelings you cant ignore to mean the attraction she cant deny for her lover. he says he wont be played a fool, which further drives the infedelity undertones. then he says "you pretend not to see our problems because they form inside of you" meaning the end of their relationship began when she chose to cheat, she knows he knows so she acts like its nothing. no matter how you break it down, its a badass song. almost got me a speeding ticket haha |
