Well, this was my translation:
A bad crowd, tea, cake and sweet, sweetest Jamaica. Goddamn that is sweet... sweet, sweet Jamaica. It was a hairnet paradise, God bless them eyes... it was a hairnet paradise: brown, black, blue eyes. Blue eyes.
I see someone else above had the same idea about "God bless them eyes". :} |

Or perhaps, and this was just a sudden thought, she was only telling "your"'s mother about the molestation, which would explain the line "Like a broken hearted soldier" and still occupy the theme of breaking "Trinity". She would have held in the information of what he was doing, so when she told someone, she just let go. She cried. She was broken hearted, but not from some break-up; from the fact that she was forced into getting together with her brother. |

Add on to the above:
In the end, Simon committed suicide, thus being where the death part comes into play, severing the ties further. |

Looking at the words "your mother's shoulder" and "weary exhausted flames of light" make me think that, perhaps, whoever "your" is, died. "She knew and I knew / What all the tears were for" gives a closeness to whatever happened to the both of them. As well, a "Trinity" is a grouping of three, with "Holy Trinity" being the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I think they meant a reference to both (judging from the religious references in their other songs). By this, I mean that, and this is only theory, a trio was broken by sin, or death, and that the Heavens are crying right alongside the speaker. I can't help but wonder if this "your" is just a distancing word used to describe the gap Sierra and Bianca felt towards their brother, Simon, whom I think is the one that molested them as children. If that is the case, then it would make sense that his molestation (a great sin) to them will have severed the ties between the three of them, and thus, broken Trinity. |
