| i dont think its about his mother but his father, i say this because bono's dad bob was a tenor with an amazing singing abiltiy and bono is sayin that the love that he had for his father made him (bono) want to sing to make his father proud by following in his footsteps and since he was born and bono inherited his fathers voice he always wanted to sing for his dad, he'd "sing whatever song, you (bob) wanted me(bono) to" bono says, "I'll giv u back my voice to lift u up" this must mean that because his dad gave him his singing voice, bonos now giving it back to bob by singing to thank him for his love and his constant inspiration which he still gives bono even after his death, god bless | |
