I'm pretty sure that this is possibly about the singer's struggles with life. He started off rebellious "Told you and the Devil to both just leave me alone." Then most of the Billy and Timothy stuff is about him. Losing relatives/siblings, then getting his faith taken away. But in the end, all he has left is God. Also, in Dismantle. Repair, he says that he's the Patron saint of Lost Causes.

Is it weird if I think this song describes my life? I mean, of course it has ups and downs, but its so much more than that. |

I really like this song, it has so many metaphors in it and some are good one's to live by. I also have some personal religious reasons to like it too. But listen to it a few times, you have to know the lyrics. |

Straight from Sonny himself from an MTV interview: "It's more of a laid-back track, it's more of a vibe track, it's definitely not the heavy side of P.O.D., but lyrically it's a hopeful song. . . We know with just dealing with the people around us and just coming across so many people that there are a lot of people struggling out there. And being that positive influence that we like to have in our music, we are just trying to encourage people. No matter how bad today is, tomorrow has a bright promise and a bright future. There's a lyric that says, 'If joy really comes in the morning time/ Then I'm going to sit back and wait until the next sunrise.' And in our faith, we believe that joy does come in the morning time, so just hold on and hang out and tomorrow is a whole different day." |

@VerdantForce: P.O.D has about 4 hit songs. Goodbye for Now, Youth of The Nation, Alive, and Boom. The first two are slow, the others fast. The band is smart enough to see what the common popular music structure is-(chorus, verse, chorus, verse, bridge or guest appearance, chorus.) They don't do that a heck of a a lot. They don't seem to be a band that's money/attention -hungry. |
