This very well may be about love, but to me this song is the lead singer singing to herself. She feels fake, like she is one person outward, but inside she's someone else. She's rejecting her inner self, scared. There's "nobody in her mind". I don't really have a specific part of the lyrics that support this, but this is what the song makes me feel, a feeling I very much recognize. |

| I loooove the version with Robert Smith. The other vocals just annoy me. The songmeaning is quite obvious, I think you are trying and trying and trying again (and failing?) to convince yourself that you are not in love. | |
