I think this song is about accepting what you have, and trying to be grateful. I think it's titled Oliver Twist, because the character Oliver Twist from the Charles Dickens play/book of the same name asked for more soup or chowder or whatever when he was being served a meal. "Please sir, may I have some more?" |
