Comparing this to songs off Under My Skin makes me feel sad :( Look at these lyrics... "Boy, I like messing in your bed". What... what the hell? What the Hell indeed Avril... Ok, looking away from the actual deprived shallow meaning, "messing in your bed" is a hilariously badly written lyric... What, does she like to eat doritos in bed? God. Looking at the ACTUAL meaning now, it's not much better. In fact, I'd prefer if she was speaking about some kind of habit of eating in bed. Seeing an artist whose lyrics were once thoughtful, and something most people could relate to turn to this kind of mainstream pop garbage about being a run of the mill slut is really depressing. Singing about making out with a guy's friends, having meaningless sex, etc etc etc... I am a sad panda :( While you look at these lyrics, let me remind you of a little song called "Don't Tell Me". Think of those lyrics, then look at these. Shocking, innit? |
