Best song ever - "and i cant see straight but the two of you look awfully pretty" is a genius line. Unfortunately not so many genius interpretations of it :\ he is drunk, he can't see straight, he is seeing double - who can read that in think he is literally talking to two people? It's being drunk and trying to convince your wife/girlfriend etc that you're actually terribly romantic while she is angry at you for being drunk. Simple. Awesome. Genius. And great to sing "you're fucking beautifullllll" while drunk :) |

This song makes me wanna be a cop :) The line "The other cops still call you 'fatso'" reminds me of the film Super Troopers. Does anyone even care what the song MEANS or we all too busy trading insults and theories? |

total_blam_blam is the only one who gets it right. This song is Sarasm in it's purest form. It is about how depressing everyday British life is, but we mask it with a sigh of "that's entertainment". Is the pinnacle of our life really watching Eastenders and wishing away the days to our fortnight in Spain? Such a sad, bleak song that is so easily misinterpreted. |
