Transylvania is obviously about Dougie being gay. Being gay in these times is like being Anne Boleyn in the story of the song. Dougie was secretly dating with Danny and Danny did't want to make it public but Dougie did so... this song is about that. Dougie and Danny aren't together now, Dougie dumped Danny because he got fed up of being secretly dating with him, such a pity. You know "who is you lover?" "I couldn't tell" says it all. |
