| I really can't stand people like you. Passionless 13 year old girls who couldn't hope to understand him? I'm a 13 year old girl, and I love Max Bemis. And you know what? It's a not a little fangirl crush. I love him because he speaks so honestly about his mental illness. Because he wrote commentaries about the unhealthy, fucked-up ways in which love manifests itself. Because he wrote about co-dependence in gay relationships, and the homophobia in the church. Because out of all the music I've ever heard, I relate to his lyrics the most. Because he really and honestly explained the anger, the alienation, loneliness, the insecurity that so many people feel, but is completely lost in the music on the radio. Because he's an inspiration to every kid who didn't fit in. So, fuck you. Take your ageist, stereotypical bullshit and go listen to a less amazing band. | |
