I actually think this person is well alive. I think this song is more about two alcoholics and she's passed out from it. He's telling her that she's completely fine and just to let loose and is more free-spirited about the sole issue that he has that has rubbed off on to her. However, it's a possibility that he's not there, but he still seems to show up on the whim causing her to drink more. |

Anyway I don't know if I'm correct and I can be very wrong. However, to me is that each of the people have a had a past that eventually made them realize they were lonely and wanted something better for themselves. Then they ran into each other in a crowded place and noticed each other from afar, because they "were nothing like the rest." They fell in love and they're growing old with each other; however, they're trying to take it slow so they can enjoy every moment with each other. I think this leads into Little Talks honestly.
In easier words, I think it is the journey they had to find each other and the journey they had to be with each other. |

Well I think she's singing this to her some of her best friends and possibly love interest. I've thought of a few interpretations.
I thought maybe if it was on the sadder end, he still loves her, but she had to change for him. Not necessarily that he doesn't love her. I feel like perhaps the man in this sense is playing her, because he's controlling and possibly an alcoholic. However, I don't think this is unrequited love. I think he loves her, but just the new her.
I think also it could be interpreted as irony. Because it actually sounds like perhaps they are celebrating their love. The snare drum in the back gives it some importance like their love. And perhaps she is crying tears of joy, because it's been so long before she can find someone as great as this person and now she has something worth living for. The majority of the music video is celebration, which is why I find it hard to fully believe it is all negative. |
