Nice insight, but I think the rapping guy is reffering to his mind/ his other mind when he's smoking. Remember, "you can see me now cos you don't see with your eyes, you perceive with your mind". And "feeling, sensation that you thougt was dead" is about his feeling when he's smoking, not the feeling that he try to kill instead feeling that he's looking for. And "the essence the basic without it you make it", it means without marijuana/other drug actually you can feel the sensation, and see the spiritual guider that it's all in your head, so when the law is lawless you can remember that. |

This is a great song with great meaning. my favorite line is:

I hate those political interpretation, it make shallow the feeling I have for this song. I think it's about tired of all the mess in the world, that's it. This song is beyond than just political song. If you like political song, go listen to RATM or SOAD, but radiohead is more than that. |

radiohead is not as "deep" as you think. they are musically great, but the meaning of their songs are sometimes simple, sometimes meaningless. the lyrics were just to create images when we heard it, and make good sounds, but the connection of it is not too clear. pretty much like "i'am the walrus" by the beatles. |

I think Thom Yorke being psychopath in this song. Everytime I heard this song, I like to imagine mutilate someone. Release me, release me from this curious feeling.. and the rest of the lyrics are about hunt on his victim. He wanna kill his victim in the middle of the night, so the morning bell is the time limit before everybody wake up. And btw, I like the 4/4 version, more classic to me. |
