I read an interview with Patterson, and he said Mercy Buckets is redneck for "Merci Boucoup". His sister used to use to always say mercy buckets to him as joke. As far as the song goes, its a pretty clever way to use an inside joke, and I think it refers to that person you have in your life that you can count on no matter what.

Amazing Song! You have to see Shonna perform this one live to truly appreciate it. You can really see her pour her heart out on stage and give everything she's got. Id like to see more from her, she's a great artist.

Such a tragic event. Patterson did an amazing job of painting a picture of the emotions and what one could make of a tragedy like this. This had to be extremely difficult to write and perform this song, but it truly honors the memory of the Harvey Family. I really do think everyday is Saturday morning for the Harvey family and there watching over their loved ones who are still here.

Jason Isbell – Cigarettes and Wine Lyrics

What an amazing song, I loved it as soon as I heard it. It looks very personal and comes out that way in jason's voice too. It takes a lot of guts to write a song like this and put yourself out there, but thats why he's an artist. Looks like its pretty much about a guy down and out from a broken past. But finds life again in the bartender(HAHA gettin put in "TOW" helps a broken heart too) I hope everybody knows what that means. Ultimately he still cant commit and is alone for reasons he cant explain. This is how I took it anyways, any other thoughts or takes on this one??
