To be honest I'm a little pissed off at how you seem to stereotype all feminists as being stereotypical misandrist seperatist Mary Daly types, but also quite impressed with how you put yourself across in such a reasonable (albeit slightly aggressive) manner. Your gripes are common and understandable, and aren't just shared by men. Still though, you say we tar you with the same brush, but you tar us with a similarly stereotypical and insulting brush. After all, I myself don't believe in gender as a binary and would therefore see no reason for segregation or sexism of any sort, because there's no division to be made. But you assume I do! A double edged sword. Again, I don't think you are being stupid or wrong. But you're being stereotypical by labelling the extremists as being the typical ones. maybe i should just give up and call myself a humanist. |
