I respect with everyone right to post their own interpretations of songs, but I think you might have gone a bit overboard on this one.
Your "interpretation" is less of an effort to understand the meaning of this song and is more focused on projecting your own political beliefs on this song. I find it highly implausible that Kristian Matsson, a Swedish singer, would write a song unjustly criticizing President Obama's actions.

Ehh Mormon's are just like Christians with a little extra pizzaz. No matter what religion he is, it is obvious that his lyrics are influenced greatly by some Abraham religious ideals. |

I agree with many here that Katy's singing is not really the best. But check out the Boyce Avenue cover of this song and you will have a new appreciation for it. |
