| Nightwish – Song Of Myself Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| It seems to me that he's portraying his philosophy of life while questioning how humans live out their lives. We worship meaningless things while missing out on most of the beauty life has to offer. He tries to change the world through music, but he isn't sure he's up to the task. Of course, we all know that isn't true. Tuomas is amazing. | |
| Nightwish – Scaretale Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Definitely made me thing of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas', and then I saw that Tim Burton was one of Tuomas' inspirations for the album. Only Nightwish could pull off such a song. Fantastic. | |
| Amon Amarth – Twilight Of The Thunder God Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think there are a couple mistakes with the lyrics. Instead of 'There is Fenris grim', I think it's supposed to be 'There comes Fenrir's twin'(Jormungandr and Fenrir were both born from Loki). Instead of 'The twin fold serpent roars in pain', I think it's 'The dreadful serpent roars in pain'. |

| Nevermore – The Termination Proclamation Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
"Eyes that shall never see A life chosen not to be fulfilled" "And those who cannot speak Assume the positions and die" Seems definitely about abortion. I'm not a fan of abortion, although I am pro-choice. I don't see it blurring the lines of right and wrong any more than I do about contraception practices. Interesting lyrical turn on this album for Nevermore. Maybe they found Jesus or something, because this is the same poor argument against abortion those people use. |

| Epica – Fools of Damnation (The Embrace That Smothers Part IX) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's about the god of the three major religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism). It's about his arrogance and how he demands that we worship him and kneel to him. He sees us only as slaves and servants, and out only purpose is to bow to him. He'll never set us free or release us from this, since refusing him means eternal punishment, and bowing to his wishes still means that you'll be doing it forever. | |
| Epica – Beyond Belief Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I can't accept that this is completely straightforward. Surely Epica isn't anti-technology or against the pursuits of scientific knowledge. That'd be a bit hypocritical. I think it's more a plea for temperance in the pursuit of advanced technology, lest we create something dangerous before we understand how to control it. | |
