For me, parts of this song are to do with DRUGS screwing you up... "Yeah I feel better today, I think that shit was just a phase, My whole outlook's changed, I've even stopped feelin' strange" I think this is him finally getting over the negative effects of the drugs... but he's still a bit uncertain whether or not these problems will creep back up on him as he says, "I THINK that shit was just a phase". He also says that he was "getting paraniod about the silliest of things" and "feeling rough", which are negative effects of using drugs too much, especially marijuana. It's is about RELATIONSHIPS too... Sometimes facing all of these drug related problems by yourself feels incredibly overwhelming, and it's really nice to know that you've got someone to talk to about these problems... "I was at me wit�s end pulling my hair out, I'd just about had enough. And all I needed was a hug and that little bit of love" The guy in the song is over the moon that he's finally done with these problems now, and he wants to do nothing more than to tell the girl that was by his side for the whole thing...
