| I think this song shows us the people we are... even though we have everything, and we have the right people in our lives, we still manage not to be happy... we still manage to be confused... its like we strive for better things... but we dont notice the things we already have "just don't let me disappear"... as he walks passed the girl in the video and she doesnt even notice him... showing thats shes lost and confused... and as she walks in to the ally way towards the end of the video, she then realizes that she may b making a mistake so she turns back to go meet the person she was suppose to meet... and as she gets there his back is turned to her with his head down and she second guesses what she should actually do and turns around once again showing us how humans really are... how we arent content with what we have, we are always looking for more "it's like were chasing all those stars" i think the lines go more then just an artist talking i think its describing every one and everything in an everyday life no matter who it is...and the bird at the end of the video is showing that sometimes you just gotta let go of the people you care about the most... and let them fly and let them realize on there own what they had or have in theyre life and hope they come back... theres more to the lyrics then a straight forward story about an artist and the video helps you see that... theres alot of imagery and meaning | |
