Manchester Orchestra – I Was A Lid Lyrics 14 years ago
I think it might say a "top peace faction, godspeed."

That's what I hear, I could be wrong.

Manchester Orchestra – I Can Feel Your Pain Lyrics 15 years ago
I think it's about his girlfriend or good friend who had a death in the family (like the friend's dad or mom) and how he doesn't know how to handle the situation. He doesn't know how to comfort this friend and is just out of touch. He wanted to call and see if his friend was doing better but he was afraid that he/she wasn't so they just fell away from each other.

Manchester Orchestra – Jimmy, He Whispers Lyrics 15 years ago
I think it's about how it's hard for him to believe in God.

"God knows it's only time before i break the chain in my eyes" -Time will tell of what he really believes, God or reality.

"Fear keeps you hiding at night and the creatures play ball outside" -Fear keeps them from believing but there are these creatures that are outside that they see/hear (could be angels or other believers).

"Chances are slim we are right but i'd never think it any otherwise" -They might be right about God but he doesn't want to believe it.

"So we'll find the answers in time and the bodies pile up sky high" -They will figure it out but for now they will live life.

He hears the voice of God telling him that it's human to be fearful or doubtful but that he is there and that life after death is magical/wonderful. And the "lake" is heaven?

"We're the creatures that play outside" -They turn to God and become the creatures, too.

"And the thought that could kill comprehendable" -God or this thought of heaven/afterlife would kill any reasoning but he believes it because he heard the voice of God.

Just my take on it. May be completely wrong.

Love,
MOnster.

Manchester Orchestra – Go Lyrics 15 years ago
He feels like God has left him.

And you turned around, and I could feel it loud, the mighty trumpet sound" -God turns around. (The mighty trumpet sound is used a lot in the bible.)

"And I could feel the breeze, with an attempt to see, what's right in front of me" -He wants to live this worldly life and see what life has to offer.

"I failed you, you failed me too" -He failed God and God failed him.

Fantastic song.
"I failed you, and I nailed you too." -Nailed him to the cross.

Listened to it many times today. Got more:
"Now I found the ways to meet the means." -He figured out how to face his problem.
"Make the kingdom clean." -Get clean. (Kingdom is him)
"How can I explain my wounded feet?" -How could he tell people about his addiction.
When he talks about 2nd mark, he might be talking about the bible. Did some research and found out that in 2nd Mark, Jesus heals a paralytic and tells him to get up and walk. He refers back to his addiction as his wounded feet. Connection?
His broke head? He is either going crazy without his "fix" or he's crazy for starting this whole shit in the first place.

I think it's about him having some kind of addiction and that he wants to break it but his pride gets in the way of him actually doing something about his addiction.
"Finally I felt the calming breeze." He finally realizes he has a problem.
"Stepping out to watch the final scene." His "final" fix.
When he starts singing about the "dead neck" and so on it's when he is trying to break the addiction. He "digs it up and then buries it," he starts the addiction again and then breaks it again.
"I need another one to incubate the sound." What ever he is using helps him writes songs.
The "dead neck" maybe refers to him not having enough of a spine to break this habit. Dead neck=no spine?

Manchester Orchestra – In My Teeth Lyrics 15 years ago
I think he is talking about how growing up people shoved religion down his throat and doesn't believe anymore. He "doesn't even need it anyways." And when he says he's doing what he can to stay awake, I think he is saying he is living his life as he wants and making the best of it.
