| OneRepublic – Counting Stars Lyrics | 12 years ago |

For me, this song is the song of my senior year. I have partied and cried to this song. I'm about to leave school and this year, and I feel myself getting older.. but I know I'm still very young. I've been doing as I'm told for so long but, this year I've gotten into a few things that would be seen as wrong.. but I have never felt so much more myself than now and I've learnt so much. I've been freaking out about where my life is going, but at the same time, I'm just sitting back and letting everything come as it does. |

| Sara Bareilles – Bright Lights and Cityscapes Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
My personal interpretation is that the singer.. is in love with someone who does love them back, but wants to try again with a person from their past, someone who hurt them. Giving them a second chance. But the singer know he'll come back to her some day, as he always does "I'm the one that you'll always chose" after he get hurt because she'll always be there to pick up the pieces. She's is trying to remind him what happened the last time he was with the other woman, but he wont hear it. And so the singer is throwing comparisons between herself and the other. Showing how, although the other is "Bright lights and city scapes", captivating and beautiful, she's also "landslides and masquerades" and how she'll "take all you ever have.", how she'll hurt him all over again and it will just end up a relationship of downfalls and hidden truths. But he keeps saying, "Maybe it'll last this time." And she says to that, that it doesn't matter, she'll still love him whether he wants her or not. |

I completely agree with Lively123. My interpretation of this song is that, there is no third person. The third "person" is the change in the man she loves and that she knows he's not the only one to blame. |

| The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Everyone is in title to their own interpretation to the meaning of the song. But the truth is, there is already a meaning to it. And because this song already has a meaning which is true and very painful, you have to keep the truth to this song. It's about a boy, who Isaac mentored at a camp for troubled teens who ended up killing himself because he couldn't handle all of is problems. That is the true meaning of this song. It's about a troubled boy who was not saved. |

| Lisa Mitchell – Clean White Love Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I think the idea that it's about drugs may be very close. The words "clean white love" might mean the guys is like heroine to her. "This love is a disease, there is no cure... ...but it's kind to be cruel." Heroine having both the bad side and the good side of it. And then, "What are you doing? What ya doin? What ya doin to my head?", like the drug. SO basically, I think there is a meaning inside the meaning. The song is, without analyzing, about drugs. But as it goes on, the drug seems to be a metaphor. Just my view. |

My interpretation is completely irrelevant to the others. I was with my bestfriend listening to this one time and we started quoting bits and pieces of it to eachother. It became our song because it just fit with he and I. This song, means so much to me. Fate stepped in, and is now forcing us into a goodbye because I have to leave. And I hope and I pray that we'll be remembered and he'll still speak of me one day and tell his children stories of all the adventures we had. I love him. With all my heart. |

Oh dear god, I would lie too. Luckily, I don't slip up bad enough for anyone to notice and question. |

| Sara Bareilles – Between the Lines Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This song to me means.. a lot. They boy and the girl were something and the girl hadn't made up her mind. The girl finally makes up her mind about him, but the boy had already moved on. He'd moved on but hadn't told the girl that he has, but he'd been dropping hints about it... but the girl wouldn't think to take notice to them because it would hurt too much. She finally takes notice and looks back on everything and see's all the signs 'between the lines'. I'd have more to say about this song.. but if I over analysed it.. I'd probably cry. So, yeah. |
