It's not because the lyrics have no depth that the entire song sucks. The music/rhythm/instrumentation/etc. have an equal value (to me, at least). This seems to me like a rather bluesy song which has possibly been written for personal recreative purposes. And, at the very least, many listeners seem to find it recreative. The strength of the song (and blues music in general) lies in the gut feeling it conveys, not its intellectual sophistication or even creativity. I don't know the original, but i'd say that the feeling is (still) strong in this cover version. Why am I ranting on about this? I just thought that giving it a 0/10 is a bit harsh. And it's certainly not 'just noise'. (if you want noise, i'd refer you to the likes of the band 'Sh*t and Shine') |

I thought that 'Signori' referred to the Vatican and Church, but now that I tried to look it up on google I don't immediately find something to back this up. Anyway, my interpretation then was about patriarch society and church telling 'false stories' (not per se that all men and religious people are bad/fraudulous, but just that the big stories are somewhat shaping our reality and making is blind to what doesn't fit in it). Kinda feminist, but then again this song IS feminist if you ask me, with all the gender references is the song and the music video |
