Story time Last year I had a same-sex crush on a dear friend of mine who is not only straight but also fairly conservative. I was terrified that she'd reject me if I told her, but, I felt like I was lying by not telling her the truth about my feelings, considering we were so close. So I decided to tell her the truth. There was a few days between when I made this decision and when I had a chance to tell her. During those few days, the only thing that could calm my nerves was listening to this song. So I had it on repeat over and over again. She didn't reject me. We're still friends. So now this song fills me full of joy, reminds me of how thankful I am to have her friendship still, and how an impossible situation turned into a beautiful one. Definitely not the Beatles' intent, but it means a lot to ,e :) |

My friend is actually going through this song. Like exactly. He's head-over-heals in love with his girlfriend. Just last night she told him she might move to London (we live in California.) He didn't sleep, and he's sad enough where he said he wanted to get drunk last night. We're begging her not to go (as her parents are letting her and her sisters decide), but she still seems undecided. And my friend's going insane. As I listen to this song, I can totally hear him say the words to her (which is funny cause he doesn't speak French :P) "It's already too late. In her eyes you can see that she prepares herself for the long journey" That part is so accurate it's kinda scary. |

| Haha for "Comment te dire" I read the English lyrics while listening to the song, and now when I listen to the song I actually understand the lyrics. I tried to do the same thing for "Je cours" but it is SO much harder ... I love this song though I think it's one of Kyo's best :D | |

Ok so first off, I've only been learning French for 1 1/2 years and I only understand a few sentences in this song in the original French. The rest I pretty much rely on English translations (which I know are not as good). And I tend to have a more innocent interpretation on songs, so whatever. This is what the song means to me (btw I'm a girl): I have had a best friend since preschool. We've know each other since as long as I can remember and he's practically my cousin. Last year he started to crush on one of my friends and she liked him too so I kinda helped them get together. But lately, things are getting awkward. They're always in each other's arms and sometimes their even kissing. My since-preschool friend barely even says anything when I approach them. I feel like I've lost one of my best friends. So I sit there and watch, and it feels like a dagger in my heart as I lose my best friend to his absorption with his girlfriend. So this song always reminds me of them ... |
