I discovered Moddi purely by accident with this song about a year ago on Youtube. I instantly fell in love with how dark and melancholy it is. I suffer from depression and music like this helps me through the low points. I honestly think this song is about people and their unrealistic expectations and also of a perspn having to deal with those frequently and not understanding how to do so. |

I was handed some news last week, and I'm not in such a great frame of mind. I feel this way frequently, and I don't know what is going to happen to me in the near future. |

I buy the explanation about religion and government, but would like to take it 1 step further. This song is also about being defiant to those things and rebelling against them. Of being an individual who thinks outside of the box in a world of conformity and people not thinking for themselves, of the feeling your surrounded by idiots. |

A soul-crushingly sad song to listen to, and I have heard some sad ones. Despite the religious references, this one, for me at least, ties with Wolfsheim's Annie for saddest ever. |
