Pulp – Seductive Barry Lyrics 13 years ago
Listen to this with the lights out, lying by yourself, or with the object of your desires, drift along with the hypnotic lyrics and the wash over strings, then decide for yourself whether this is about reality or fantasy, or both. Whatever you decide this song will never leave you, whether you find it sensual or seedy!

Peter Gabriel – Don't Give Up Lyrics 14 years ago
This song was written as the British coal miners strike entered its second year. It describes the utter destruction of the mining industry by Thatcher, the desolate impact on once macho workers and the increasing importance of the women who managed by hook or by crook to keep families and whole communities ticking over.

Elton John – First Episode at Hienton Lyrics 15 years ago
This is a song about first love, the loss of virginity and wistful memories when that first love has long passed. Valerie starts the song in schoolgirl clothes but becomes a woman as her 'thighs were the cushions'. However, 'seasons come and seasons go' thus we all grow older and 'now Valerie's a woman' no longer with her first love who tells her 'not to be sad where' she is for life moves on.
