the meaning of this song is pretty obvious, but what's interesting about it is the way they are (were) performing this song on the tour. if you were lucky and could see them play :-) you would know what I mean,..... and if not, you can as well find different versions on the net (from their 2010 tour). and btw, there are also two different versions on the battle for the sun; redux edition ........... so as the meaning is really clear I would say that the point here is on the performance |

It sounds like he was looking at his little son when he wrote this amazing song: "I always watch you when you're dreaming" .... With the music so slow and Brian's peaceful voice, it just feels like he is looking at his son while he is asleep: "I cry when I listen to you breathing Because I know there's nothing else The conscious of that crushing feeling To know there's no connection left" and specialy the last lines: "Why can't you be me? Be me, be me, be me... " |
