I think that she has the best ever take on the song, just listen to the emotion in the chorus. I love this song, it's my number one of the 80s for love songs by a female artist and rate this higher than Girls just wanna have fun! I love this song, it's an innocent song of the 80s, speaking of love and why it's treasured. Thanks Cyndi, you're so underrated. I will always love this song. It's the sound of the 80s!

It is the song of the 80s. You just have to listen to the first few notes and you are transported to the 80s and when this song first hit our ears. She is underrated I think! This is the best version as the emotion she pushes into the chorus cannot and has not ever been done as emotionally as she did. The video too is the best! This song is a love song for the 80s, one of the best and meaningful, anyway! I just love this song, even above Girls Just wanna have fun. Time after time...wonderful memories and wonderful music. |

This song transports me to the 80s and to when synth and voices were still clear and audible. It really is nothing like anyone today and could easily be from that time. I think that she has a great future in music if she can keep up this originality. The entire melody and how she sings it is so unaffected and is perfect pop! In my opinion, this song should have had more coverage and should be bigger...I just stumbled across it and now I am a fan! Thanks Natasha and BFL! |

I agree with magical...this lyric sounds as if it's about being on the outer of someone's love and affection. She has has allowed him to drag her along for the ride and while she doesn't like it, it's really all she got to hold onto...if she wants him, she'll let him take everything of her and even the other woman, the object of his attention and the object that's in her way. On the other side, she is the one who 'takes everything'and files it all away in the hope of them being together... and fakes everything...believing that he wants her and not the other woman and she saves any scrap of him in her for her longing heart...Who hasn't bloody been there! I love this song too! Takes you away! |

I've just discovered this song. I am a freak of nature for not ever having heard this before, ok! I have read all the comments and I reckon the song is what it is. It is a song with meaning and pleasure and pain and after that it is the MUSIC and the LYRICS that have moved me more than any FILM or COMIC. Like any music, you're gonna bring to it what you will and that's about the size of it. Tears or joy or rocking to it or whatever, just damn well ENJOY it! I have and probably will for a while to come. |
