At the begining of the song it's showing his excitement about getting attention and feeling close to someone. He doesn't care that she doesn't know his name- he just wants to feel close to someone. During the end of the song he pleads 'whisper the right name'. He's starting to realise that the the warmth he felt earlier is dying as they just become two strangers again. He longs for the closeness to carry on. 'Keep yourself warm seems to carry on from this. He has realised that as soon as these meaningless 'fucks' are over, you go back to being just as lonely as you were before. Everyone who has had a one night stand will probably know the feeling. |
