My interpretation of the song is how he realizes he is with some super model only because he is a rock star and she wouldn't otherwise even notice him if he wasn't. He feels like a fraud and not good enough for this girl. The reality is though, it is the other way round, but this is that low depression phase. |

Surprisingly, I read this, that this song was written after the passing of the lead singer's mother. All the odd references are attributed to her. Puts an interesting twist to the song. |
