I've read everyone's comments and understand that the song is about Andy Hull losing $100. But when I listen to it, I get the feeling like coming home on holiday and you get home and see your moms magazine collection on top of the table your picture use to be on and bringing someone with you, like a girlfriend or someone special. Offering her your puppy to pet while you sat in the kitchen so to make her feel better. And you kind of just want to get back to where ever it is you are in life now (school, apartment, w/e). SO everyone keeps asking how things are going with work/school and you tell them the same story you tell them every holiday. You know you'll be getting money from all your relatives because it's holiday season and they don't buy toys anymore, they just all give you money. SO you get fed up and feel like standing up and just yelling "I am fine, I am fine, I am fine I just need 100 dollars" and then pointing to each Aunt and Uncle "From you And you and you And you and you" I just think it matches visually well |

| This is a song. There are many like it, but this one has emotion. The entire album is mind blowing. I actually woke up last night at 3AM and found myself thinking immediately about A Man Of Science. Does anyone know if they'll be touring anytime soon? I hope to science they do! I think this can be interpreted a few ways, as any good song should, but the most obvious I see is his question of religion. Relating it to Her Majesty like God is a ruler and all the "miracles" can be measured in inches being that they're not strong enough to help him strengthen his belief. Just an idea though. The album is so fucking good!! |
