Maurice & Charles MEANT what they said when they mentioned the THE SUN... it was the Christian Europeans of yesteryear that changed SUN of Man, to SON of Man... this is another song of praise to The Sun... EW&F ALWAYS sang songs of devotion to the Sun (Sun Goddess, SErpentine Fire, See The Light, Lady Sun, Sparkle, Shining Star, Mighty Mighty, Keep Your Head To The Sky, Open Our Eyes, etc.)... read their lyrics closely and look at their album covers after they began associating with the great Charles Stepney... all of them contained Masonic, and solar deification imagery... Maurice White is NOT a christian.. in fact, the groups differences in beliefs between members like Al Mckay, Larry Dunn, Philip Bailey, and Maurice, led to the breakup of the core members... |
