I love this song. It can really bring me close to tears because it does have so much raw emotion in it. I can really personally relate to this song in the way if it wasn't talking about God. It could be talking about a friendship or God... either one. But, I have this friend that I had just recently become friends with. She totally showed me how to break down all of the boundaries and walls I had put up. She totally showed me a whole other way of living. So, for that reason I look up to her. "And now the truth of it is, is I wanna be like you" totally describes it exactly. And then the fact that she is only a recent friend (she s a junior) she has had this whole life that I never knew about. I have seen pictures and heard stories, and it's crazy how much I feel like I really don't know her. Makes me sad in a way. So, that's just personally how I think of the song when I hear it. Honestly it is most likely about God, since that makes sense in more parts of the song. But, ya never know.... :) |
