| To me, this song is about peace. Whenever I hear the chorus "If there's a future we want it now" It sounds like a plea for peace- a better future for everyone. Especially with the music video, which influenced my opinion a lot. They start offff fighting but realize that the better ending is a peaceful one, hence the hug. | |

Duende is also a bodily response to expressive music (e.g. gives you chills, makes you smile or cry..). I would just like to input that listening to the song without first comprehending the lyrics would give one the feeling of happiness or uplifting, especially since the vocals sound almost dreamlike. Upon reading the actual lyrics, one might feel completely different as the words create an eerie aura and the voices now sound more haunting. To me, this song was created to evoke the emotions of the listener. |
