Haha, I was watching an interview for Come Around Sundown with Caleb, and he was saying that he always liked the romanticism of a southern man. They were out camping and he was staring at the fire and when the ranger came to check on them he thought it would be some big tough guy and he saw his truck and was like "You call that a pickup truck?". Then they had to add an aspect of love to it and the meaning kind of turned into the story of a guy who thought he was big and tough and ended up getting his ass kicked. I just think it's really funny because when I first heard the song I was trying to read such a deep meaning into it, like a lot of people and it turned out as a totally different meaning than I thought! |
