thanks for the definitions. put this song in the context as the opener for the stripped down minimalist vibe of "steady diet of nothing," i think exit only's purpose is to establish the indie ethos of fugazi here. small gigs, real people, real invitations to those people. "meet me at the exit" it says. "i'm real, i'm not above you cos i played in the band tonight, and we should chill after the show." in any case, Guy's singing is perfect and awesome in this song. |
