I:scintilla – Cursive Eve Lyrics 15 years ago
The song 'Cursive Eve' seems to be more about the curse women have carried throughout all history and how the lie has affected how women are treated by men in society.

"Your brothers all remain blameless / Heart of snares and nets, hands as bands"

Women have always been used as bait or 'snares' and used as objects while men have not.

"Kneel / Here youre not scared to die / Beg / Those dogs will lick and drink you dry / Kneel / Eat the pretty cursive lie / Beg / And you will not be scared to die"

This talks about how women are made to kneel and beg to men and accept the cursive lie passed on by Eve; both her and Adam had slightly different curses put upon them, Eve's was to answer to man and struggle to be considered equal. This is reflected in history:

"They say "In you lives an Eve" and / "Thy desire rules over thee" / "Thou shall not let witches live" / The fiction binds your mind and body"

Generally speaking it is the woman who is insulted with the words like 'In you lives an Eve' accusing them of being manipulative and rebellious.

"Give you away to male angels / The leaders all remain shameless"

In the Bible men gave women 'mostly their daughters' away to the fallen angels who lusted after them in exchange for technology and forbidden knowledge. In Egyptian mythology and many other ancient cultures 'God's', 'Fallen Angels' or 'Aliens' who married these women taught them dark arts and witchcraft.

"He may hear false answers / He lets the voices in"

Referring to men looking down on women because of the history and things that have been said by their fathers.
