Very much agree with u. This song is so haunting and melancholic that it makes u feel empty n' low inside. It clearly makes u feel that how lonely, helpless n' down he was. You are wrong my friend. This song was written by Eddie. Read somewhere - "Thumbing My Way" was written by vocalist Eddie Vedder. Drummer Matt Cameron revealed to Vedder that he considers it the nicest chord progression Vedder has come up with.[1] Vedder on the song: "Thumbing My Way" was written real quick.
