I think that it may be about a relationship in which he's always treated her like a beautiful creature and loved her and swore to everyone that he wouldn't hurt anyone, but always kept her caged like a bird. And it would be better if she were to slip away and leave, to avoid anything drastic. I think he just wants to try and let go and doesn't want to feel like she hates him for that. |
