If i'm not wrong "Miss Fourth of July" is a reference to the fireworks of a relationship. and it seems he's waving goodbye to the spark and the life as the relationship fizzles out. at least that's what i remember from what Richie said in the 100000000 fans boxset DVD. definitely one of my favourite Bon Jovi songs, Richie's soul + Jon's emotion = magic. |
