I think its about how his lover just left him really unexpectedly. He clearly is also still in love with this person, never got any closure, or any reasons/explanations. "so, this is goodbye". Since he never got any answers, what else can he do? Its goodbye, its the end. But the persons ghost still haunts him, but he forces himself to get over them. For the good of himself. Cause hanging on the that one person, especially after they are really truly gone, is only hurting yourself. Its a sad thing that he's going through, and I definitely don't wish is upon no one! Very great song! |

Even though I have read the lyrics to this song, I think a lot of it gets lost in translation while converting from French to English. That happens a lot with many languages. Nonetheless, magnifique! One of my favourites no doubt |

I absolutely adore this song! My interpretation is that she loved someone and they didn't love her back. But she was sort of blinded by the love, being oblivious to the fact that it wasn't mutual. She didn't want to believe it wasn't real. Also, she would do anything for this person, she would even change herself. "...so I'll be someone who wont be forgotten" Also, I love how the tone in the song changes once she starts singing about how there are "no stars aligned..." She realizes the love and how its not being accepted, which sucks, therefore the music changes. Even after all this, she still loves the person. |
