While I love the actual meaning to this song, this song means a lot to me for an entirely different reason. It reminds me of my younger days as a little kid when Anastasia was one of my favorite movies. <3 I remember rewinding the end credits over and over again just so I could listen to this song. Even as a kid, I had a great taste in music. :) |

This actually makes me think of my own boyfriend. I adore music, more than anything on this earth, because it makes me feel good inside. No matter the tune, the melody, the mood, a song can put me in a good mood and mindset. Music's helped me through thick and thin, pulled me out of writer's block, and urged me when I was stuck deep in my writing ruts. It reminds me of good times and old song bring up memories from when I was a kid. Music's just always been there for me. So far, nothing else has ever made me feel this way. Besides him. Yeah, this sounds REALLY sappy, but it's true. He's my music, my love song. <3 He's the first guy to actually get to me like this. I wouldn't call it love, not yet, but it's definitely getting there. :) I love this song more than ever. |

Actually, for you anime fans, this actually represents Maka's (from Soul Eater) situation with her parents very well. I realize that it's not a shoujo anime (THANK GOD), but this song could still depict how she feels about love and everything. At least, this is what I always think of when I hear this song. |

I agree with the whole rape thing. I mean, there are bruises UNDER her sweater and skirt. Normally, if it was just an attack, it'd be on her arms or something. Besides, you have to keep in mind that he put his lips to her neck and that he was looking for love. He wanted someone to love him, even if he had to force someone. Desperation and deprivation does that to you. But I'm not saying the song focuses mainly on rape. It's all about a boy deprived of love when he was a child and how it affects him. Rape just comes into play on the effect it takes on him. Beautiful song though <3 |

I agree with what everyone has said so far. I've just discovered Breaking Benjamin this past month and I've already fallen in love with them. ^^ I was watching the video and I noticed something really interesting at the end. Did anyone else notice that the gravestone said 'Jane Eryes'? You now, like the book? I've never read it, but now I wonder what's it's about and what it has to do with the song. :/ But it's epic nonetheless. Love it, love it, love it. BB shall be my new muse. <3 |
