ive been listening to this song for a while (and i just watched the notebook) and this is what i think We're so dark by night, I am lost directions getting faded remember what you're taught - (to follow your heart) she's so bright, i'll use her as light- (he loves her, she brightens his world) she's so much more than decoration-(in the notebook women are often looked at as 'decoration' and dont have say in things [back in early 1900s]) She can fly, and shes no angel in the sky she's a witch but she knows better not to take me when she flys-(he knows she has not perfect, like when he calls her a pain in the ass lol. im not sure about the "she knows better not to take..." part) and i miss how she looks me in the eyes-(allie has alzheimers and therefore isnt herself) oh this sounds like desperation- (hes desperate for her back) if you're a bird then i'm a bird -(theyll always be together) but if you cant fly then neither will i- (he'll never leave her) cause in love is not the right time, to die-(he wont die without her?) her wings are spread, she's stuck here on the ground- (shes having a tough time with her illness) she's not heavy, she's my world -(shes not a burden on him, shes everything to him) i'll carry her around - (hell do anything for her, take her whereever she wants) i hear her breathing, that's my favorite sound - (he loves everything about her) tell me what you think :) |
