You quote something yet you say something completely different. This song does not mean the band is going to get in your head. Read this part of the quote: "We ask what's wrong with the world today, the government, the media, your family." It mentions that this song is like an introduction to some of the other songs: "If you look at the rest of the album, there's a song that has to do with the government, a song about how media affects people and a song about your family. So this one's a opening dialogue; it's meant to open your head up and see what's going on." Now do you understand after I dissected it for you? |

Correct lyrics (incomplete): Oh my God, I have the remedy for love I struck the glass, it broke the bones inside my fist, and I'm okay I cannot change you (I cannot change you) You'll never change (you'll never change) I never would expect to break this in the end Something so profound Something you won't expect Take this scripture like a picture And wear it around your neck The sky it opens up Don't get swallowed by the flame What's mine is yours and yours is mine So take me away You hear the sounds, they're carried out It swells and I was never the same There's no sympathy for the dead We dance like zombies do, in the middle of the rain We see the stones falling from the sky (on fire) The blinding light that's beaming from your eyes (our desire) Life has died, yet we're still alive, and down below A sea of damned crashing like a tidal wave (wave) Every minute of what you get helps this pain I can't breathe Wake up from this nightmare that I'm in Dive in to a holy river, and wash away my sins As I reach (never change) like serpents of the water I will bleed and burn out my eyes You hear the sounds, they're carried out It swells and I was never the same There's no sympathy for the dead We dance like zombies do, in the middle of the rain We see the stones falling from the sky (on fire) The blinding light that's beaming from your eyes (our desire) Life has died, yet we're still alive, and down below A sea of damned crashing like a tidal wave (wave) Every minute of what you get helps this pain Torn leaves and greed from our father You think it's hot now (hot now) Well just wait A hundred thousand wings soaring through the sky At instant speeds we can't catch with our eyes You hear the sounds of a third carried out Just wait (just wait) You hesitate I have the remedy to the poisonous kiss I struck the glass, it shatters bones in my fist "Helps this pain" is most likely wrong, and "torn leaves and greed from our father" could also be wrong. I couldn't hear the last part due to the screaming. If anyone could build on top of this, that would be great. |

Why would this be about a murder? Or someone losing their virginity? I can only assume this song is about cheating. That's what it sounds like judging from the title. |

One more thing... so you guys don't misundestand... "The person he broke up with will always stay the same in his eyes." I mean this in a bad way. |

I think most of you have missed the point, and I even made an account to elaborate on this! I'm just going to analyse the first verse to give you guys an idea. "I struck the glass" This is metaphoric. The "glass" is refering to his relationship with someone. This isn't the only time "glass" has been mentioned in one of Ronnie Radke's songs. See "As You're Falling Down" and "The Departure": they both mention glass, and it's pretty obvious what it symbolises. Anyway, what this line is saying is that he has ended his relationship with someone. "Broke the bones inside my fist but I'm ok" It wasn't easy, and he was emotionally hurt at one point, but he's OK. "I cannot change you, you'll never change" The person he broke up with will always stay the same in his eyes. "I never would expect to break this in the end" 'Betrayal at its best is always second guessed', huh? In other words, he never expected things to end this way. I think this suggests that it was the other person's fault... in his eyes, anyway. I'm assuming this relationship he's describing was based on lies. "I have the remedy to the poisonous kiss" I know I said I was only going to analyse the first verse, but this is quite important. This is a play on the second line of the first verse. I *think* this is telling us that this other person cheated on him. |
