God, I so connect to what your saying (I know that sounds really stoned or over-the-top, but I just listened to this song with new eyes, because i think it has summed up a lot of what I've been going through in the last few months). Isn't it amazing how a song can do that? I will always be here whenever I listen to this song. The great line for me is "and now my fears, they come to me in threes..." The "and now", as opposed to then. The Fear- becoming an adult. The songs rhythm -notice how it starts with drumming- it's like running, trying to catch up, not making it but never stopping. In the end, its about friendship, and the ones you love. Not being satisfied completely, but sharing our fear with friendship. Sharing, and that brings you somewhere, as the friend, and/or listener. Dancing with your friends, this crazy life is a dance, and you've got to have fun. |
