Manchester Orchestra – It's Ok With Me Lyrics 15 years ago
The relationship is with God. I think most people don't realize this when they listen to Andy Hull's music, but a LOT of his songs are about his relationship with God, or his feelings towards God. His father and his grandfather were both ministers and when his father passed away, he started getting angry towards God and losing his faith and relationship with God. For those of you who don't understand the concept of a relationship with God, then you won't understand half of his lyrics correctly. He throws in little "natural" things referring to other happenings...for example, "when you threw the glass on the wall"...

The reason I love Andy Hull so much is because, unlike most Christians who sing about God, Andy sings about his struggle with God which EVERY Christian has. No one has a perfect relationship with Christ because there is no such thing. Andy shows his anger and discontentment. I love it.
