| you look like a tool because the person below you said the exact same thing. & btw "you guys aren't korn fans"? knowing the origin of every single song DOESN'T determine whether someone's a fan or not. | |

| KoЯn – Daddy Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| this entire song is so heartfelt, so much hate and sadness. don't know why he's asking his mom for forgiveness at the start though, it seems as though she knew deep down that this was happening but never did anything about it at the time, makes me sick! JD has balls to release a song like this one. the whole recording is perfect, screaming and crying at the end is so devastating. | |

| this website is songmeanings.com what did you expect? the comment section allows you to select your comment "type"; interpretation, opinion & and meaning of the song are all listed, as well as general comments etc. i personally find it interesting to disect a song to find a possible meaning or theme of the song (if there is one) although i completely agree with you when you say a song doesn't have to have a specific meaning whatsoever to be great. i think alot of the comments are very well said and insightful. and lastly, read that last line of yours... to yourself. | |

| Cartel – Only You Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This is by far my favourite song on cycles. Even though cartel are a band that probably wouldn’t have anything to do with drug use perhaps this song is from someone’s else’s perspective or he‘s comparing his love for someone to the addictive qualities of a drug. The first part is saying that all he can think about is the drug everything around him/her fade away when he’s under the influence. No one really sees how bad this persons addiction is, it’s hidden. He/she is also thinking, maybe I’ll be okay if I leave this drugs alone but is never able to keep away. This verse is full of references (self explanatory): and i feel you crawling out my veins (injecting) leaving the walls inside with flames burning the emptiness i've saved until lonely you remain but then my lungs collapse and you pull me out (lung collapse [pneumothorax] is often cause by drug use) forever i've been changed honey you can take me now til it all runs out ive weighed it all out here and now my world turns inside out (he/she went too far and did too much) It gives this feeling as though the person knows how bad his/her drug use is but still can’t seem to turn away from it. |

firstly, like most KoRn songs this has such an awesome intro! nice. but as for meaning, I heard JD used to or still does collect memorabilia from notorious criminals and such, so it could be from the point of view of a serial killer. I am watching the rise and fall of my salvation - he feels like this is who he is, he is in the rise, but there will be a fall hence when the killer is caught. I thought it would be fun and games - (I read somewhere that the “zodiac” killer thought of killing as a game, a hunting game) I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again - the reason leaving him is his morals, he knows that it’s wrong but it’s an impulsion he can’t control. I need a fix, you need it to, Just to get some sort of attention - some serial killers have left notes and such, because there’s apart of them that wants to get caught, they want to be infamous. The sexual innuendo could be something to do with necrophilia (JD owns/owned Ted Bundy’s car, a serial killer who actually engaged in necrophilia). But then who knows could be about anything, but I think the general theme of the song is compulsion. |
