It's already been touched on, tl;dr serial killer/kidnapper/rapist keeps a girl in his basement. Lyrical dissonance ensues. The Beatles reference makes a lot of sense, actually. Charles Manson was a fan of the song "Helter Skelter" in particular. The narrator may admire him. I figured "all little pigs will die tonight" is a reference to bastard children being killed. |

I definitely thought it was about rape, or at minimum sexual assault/harassment and stalking, and the sense of entitlement the offender had. From my own experience as a rape survivor, after three years of harassment and dealing with the fucker's accusations that I had ruined his life, I definitely felt this song. "I can't save your life/though nothing I bleed for is more tormenting" definitely resonated with the feeling of "I don't owe you ANYTHING. Why won't you GO AWAY?" In fact I listened to this a LOT throughout the rest of the year after it happened. @ RiNnA-DoNo "How can a girl rape someone?" Rape is any penetrative sex (including penetration with fingers and objects) that takes place without consent, and it doesn't matter who's doing the penetrating or who's being penetrated. As long as penetration is happening and one of the people involved hasn't welcomed it, it's rape. If a woman rapes a man, she's still the rapist even though she's being penetrated, because the man is the one who didn't give consent. If she puts an object or any part of her body into another woman without consent, it's rape. It's happened before, and it's actually becoming more and more common for women to commit rape. |
