The whole album was just the best of the worst so to speak, and It is actually an amazing album, it doesn't even make sense to say that this album sucked considering all of the songs were actually recorded throughout the early 70's (their primetime). Bonham's drumming in particular is very well done, and as far as anyone one else is concerned whether or not this song is about girls, or drug addictions, if you think the album sucked or not, the reason we're listening to Led Zeppelin is because they were amazing and changed the world of music today.

I think that the song is overall, in one way or another, about Good vs. Evil. Whether you can relate it to drugs, Lord of the Rings, The bible, whatever, I think essentially that is the message they want to send out with this song. |
