| This is what I believe that the song is about too. The singers description of an alcoholic father and that relationship and the relationship between his father and the alcohol. | |

After watching the video, it seems like this song is about alcoholism of someone close to the singer (perhaps his father). He switches from talking from the Alchohol position and then speaking from himself. Here is what I mean: I'm coming up only to hold you under I'm coming up only to show you wrong The drunkeness is coming and it holds him in his addiction, etc.. Then the other parts are written from his standpoint. He didn't really know him at all, they knew him wrong. All they had was the hop that he would wake up and be there in the morning. Then at every occasion that his Dad would drink, he would prepare himself for a funeral because he would drink and drive, etc.. Anyway thats my 2 cents, at least from watching the video that is what i gathered |

After watching the video it seems to be describing the act of getting drunk. Alchohol = drunkeness is coming up to hold you under (drowning in sorrow) At least thats what it seems to be talking bout to me. |
