I always believe this song is a heavy metal romantic song with mythical image. It just saying to your love ones on mythical ways. Read the last verse and the acoustic section, it just some sort of "acid trip" that invite your lover into their life. Definitely, the inspiration are from Al Capone. Apparently he was in Al Capone's hideout record some music and those poor ghost victim just haunt the band during the whole session. My guess and opinion? The first verse speak about, forbidden love between two star crossed lovers by long distance relationship. or even they have decided to break off because they can't live in a world of lie and broken relationship. Second is how and why does a relationship will be broken even though they are soul mate and perfect for each other. She's pray and hope for everlasting love but thwart by unknown fate (case of Aida that is both empire fighting against each other). The chorus translate as fate thwart their relationship as the crime might be refer to belief, religion or even race. As love is god's experiment means god controlling the time and fate of human being hence they were never to meant with each other even though they are a perfect match. Paradise for a day? Self explanatory: Their love never meant to be forever. Fate? Nothing can be altered and nothing to decide, means this will never be an everlasting love for this star-cross lovers. All that I denied is either one of them have decided to break off because of the difficulties of their relationship have to be end. What it is to be in love and have that love returned somehow suggested that it was their first love and usually when it related to first love it is usually attached with love at the first sight, hence the first impression is a soul mate and glimpse of eternal love since this were their first love and hoping for both people to have the love return! |

| Yeah LSK, some of the lyrics are using historical mean for london, But my own interpretation are about someone who are technically "dead" in their mind and soul as earthenvessel stated. the word ghost and witches in the songs means that someone who are prefer darkness that wandering around the night because they are confused from what they are believe. I've been there (waking through night and sleep through days) so it's perfectly fits into me and others who are lost within the darkness. ghosttown and oceans means there are a place for those who are lost in the mass earth. I was listening back and forth (Funeral and BoT). the main theme resembled the Funeral main theme. except that Love Lies Bleeding talks about failing relationship. I also mention on a youtube video about this. Glad I'm not the one. I was listening to both song while I'm back from my relative grave last year. You people are forgetting to read the whole lyrics, aside of Easy's verse. There's two major thing that narrate through the song. Racial discrimination by the cops: hence why "Young nigga got it bad cuz I'm brown And not the other color so police think They have the authority to kill a minority" by Ice Cube (I hate to quote more because it's a self explanatory song against the police discrimination.) African American person working as a police officer. Basically i see the song stated that African American cops are 'acting' white on their own race.
